Innosilicon A9 ZMaster
The Innosilicon A9 ZMaster is the first mining chip for Equihash, and it’s here to change the game. With a power efficiency of 0.136 J/GH, this miner will give you one of the best ROI rates on the market today. The Innosilicon A9 ZMaster also features cgminer-equihash software with unique algorithms that take advantage of any system with at least 2GBs RAM and an x86_64 processor!
The unit can process up to 1200kH/s with a power draw of 2100W at the wall according to early testers using transparent pictures of the device itself, PCB board design and specifications. The A9 will use an external power supply like most recent models (including the A5 and L3+ recently released by Bitmain and Halong Mining respectively). The A9 uses air cooling and has a built-in web interface for configuration.
The unit is scheduled to ship in late May or early June, so it’s possible they were able to get this miner out before their competitor (apparently scheduled to be released at the end of June).

The price point of $1499 USD seems initially high compared to recent models. However, it can mine ZCash 24/7 while many other popular ASIC miners are limited by the DASH masternode system requiring random shutdowns on a daily schedule for some miners, rendering them useless during that time. Also, with a projected hashrate 5x that of the Antminer Z9 (only available in July, and no specifications announced yet), this ASIC would be more profitable than the DASH ASIC at a similar price point.
